President Obama Wants Unlimited Spending; Will Barrow Submit the Bill?
WASHINGTON –President Obama has led the country into a cycle of out of control spending and imploding debt – and now he wants a blank check to keep raising the nation’s debt limit whenever he wants. So will John Barrow sponsor Obama’s big spending plan and bring it up for a vote?
“Enabling President Obama’s stimulus plan to spend more of our money would be to condemn us to persistently weak growth and prolonged uncertainty,” said NRCC Communications Director Paul Lindsay. “Will John Barrow hand Obama another blank check funded by the American people?”
The White House is confident that Democrats will support their plan to continue spending money we don’t have with no accountability:
“…the White House was ‘very confident’ that Democrats support the principles outlined in Obama’s plan, which has met with derision among Republicans.” (Jim O’Sullivan, “White House Swats Away McConnell’s Suggestion,” National Journal, 12/6/12)
Washington Democrats have shown that they are not willing to sacrifice their reckless spending addiction:
“Democrats did not do much on Wednesday, adopting a deliberate strategy to slow-walk Republicans to the edge of the fiscal cliff…” (Chris Frates, “Democrats Stroll Toward Edge of Fiscal Cliff,” National Journal, 12/5/2012)
