Obama’s Focus: Anything but Jobs

February 1, 2013

What another disappointing week.

Our GDP declines (worst numbers since 2009) and we see another mediocre jobs report (unemployment up to 7.9%).

You’d think President Obama would take action to help ease Americans’ suffering.

That’s what you’d think.

Reports today show he still refuses to approve a Keystone Pipeline plan, which would create thousands of American jobs and would help our country take another step in the journey towards energy independence:

“The Obama administration’s decision on the Keystone XL oil pipeline will not be made until at least June, a U.S. official said, which would delay the project for months and frustrate backers of Canada’s oil sands.

“We’re talking the beginning of summer at the earliest,” said the source, who did not want to be identified due to the sensitive nature of the TransCanada Corp project, which has been pending for more than four and a half years. “It’s not weeks until the final decision. It’s months.”

Our economy is suffering, now is not the time to let the Pipeline linger.

Mr. President, where is your plan?

It’s time to #GetToWork.
