Not One Dime?

More Empty Promises From President Obama

President Obama’s speech hasn’t even started yet and already it seems like tonight will be full of just more empty promises. Take a look at this excerpt:

“Tonight, I’ll lay out additional proposals that are fully paid for and fully consistent with the budget framework both parties agreed to just 18 months ago.  Let me repeat – nothing I’m proposing tonight should increase our deficit by a single dime.”

That sounds familiar, doesn’t it?

That’s because President Obama said the exact same thing about Obamacare in December 2009:

“And I’ve insisted from the beginning that health care reform will not add one dime to our deficit. ” (President Obama, Remarks, Washington D.C., 12/21/09)

Yet, despite President Obama’s promise, a CBO report came out just one week ago saying Obamacare’s cost has risen to over $1.3 trillion–even higher than originally estimated.

President Obama loves to make lofty promises, but facts always seem to get in the way.

Enough is enough.
