Do Carol Shea-Porter and Annie Kuster have the political courage to stand up to the Robosquirrel?

February 28, 2013

The White House is reporting that New Hampshire stands to lose over $3 million in education funds due to the Sequester and $5.4 million in money to employ New Hampshire’s defense workers. While House Republicans have twice passed bills to replace the Sequester, President Obama and the Democratic Senate have failed to offer responsible alternatives.

Well, since Obama won’t listen to Republicans, maybe he’ll listen to members of his own party.

But will either Carol Shea-Porter or Annie Kuster have the political courage to demand that Obama replace the Sequester with cuts to wasteful spending, such as the $70 billion in improper Medicaid/Medicare payments, $27 million for a program that teaches pottery to Moroccans, and $1 million to develop a menu for people on Mars?

And let’s not forget that $325,000 to build a robotic squirrel!

“Carol Shea-Porter and Annie Kuster work for the people of New Hampshire, not President Obama. They should show some political courage and demand that President Obama get off the campaign trail and replace the Sequester with common sense cuts to the endless wasteful spending that plagues our government.”
