John Barrow-Jetson?

February 28, 2013

With President Obama’s Sequester deadline tomorrow you would think John Barrow would be getting serious about stopping these devastating cuts.

Mars Menu

Earlier this week the White House put out a breakdown of what these cuts really mean:

Georgia is set to lose $28.6 million in funding for teachers and schools with as many as 390 teaching jobs at risk. Law enforcement in Georgia is also set to lose $427,000 in funding.

Barrow’s sequester will cut school funding and police officers. And for what?

So John Barrow and President Obama can live out their dream of playing The Jetsons and keep spending millions on ridiculous programs like a NASA-developed menu for Mars which has the price tag of almost a million dollars.

NRCC Statement: “When John Barrow had the chance to replace Obama’s Sequester he said no. Now Georgians are forced to pay for ridiculous government programs like a NASA-developed menu for Mars all while Barrow slashes essential funding for Georgia teachers and police officers. John Barrow’s priorities are not in line with the priorities of Georgia families” – NRCC Spokeswoman Katie Prill
