House Republicans still at work during #snowquester

March 6, 2013

In true Washington fashion, the federal government shut down all operations today to prepare for a snow storm dubbed “snowquester.” In what may be the most fitting act of nature of all time, the storm failed to be as severe as predicted, producing approximately zero inches of accumulation on Washington’s streets. Meanwhile, House Republicans showed up for work today and passed the SKILLS act as well as a continuing resolution that ensures that our government remains open.

While Obama cancels tours of the White House, the US Capitol is still open for business, despite the “snow”.
