WSJ: Congress Tries To Protect Itself From Obamacare

This morning’s Wall Street Journal calls out Democrats for trying to exempt themselves from Obamacare after imposing it on the American people.

“Congress will eventually find some way to protect itself, but its subterranean scrambling to do so exposes one of ObamaCare’s greatest deceits: That if you like the insurance you have, you’ll be able to keep it. Even the people who wrote the law don’t believe it.”

The bombshell news dropped Thursday in Politico: Democratic aides had been approaching Republicans for month, trying to get them to exempt members of Congress and their staffs from the disastrous law.

This is everything that is wrong with Washington today.

For almost two years, Democrats campaigned for the law—claiming it would lower healthcare costs and enable people to keep their current coverage, if they wished. As the law is increasingly implemented, we now know that’s not the case.

Meanwhile, families across the country are wondering where their exemption is.

We can’t let Washington Democrats get away with this hypocrisy.
