IRS Accidently Exposed Thousands Of Social Security Numbers

Just when you thought things couldn’t get any worse from the folks over at the Internal Revenue Service…

National Journal is reporting today that over 2,000 Social Security numbers were unwittingly exposed by the government and posted on the internet for less than 24 hours.

This is yet another black mark for an agency riddled with scandal over the last few months.

First, of course, they apologized for improperly targeting conservative groups. Then, it was discovered they blew $50 million over two years on conferences.

This independent government agency needs real reform and it needs it now.

Since the beginning of these scandal, the Republican majority in the House has been providing much-needed oversight. Stand with us today as we keep up the fight. Democrats are determined to sweep this under the rug, but we cannot let that happen.
