Nevada deserves better than @ErinBilbray and the self-serving insiders she has working on her campaign

Remember Three’s Company?

Threes Company

Well, ahead of the 2014 elections, Erin Bilbray has already gone Washington and surrounded herself with corrupt company. But unlike one of America’s favorite sitcoms, for Nevada voters, her story definitely won’t be as enjoyable to watch.

Bilbray’s Treasurer, William Stanley, and her Assistant Treasurer, Janica Kyriacopoulos
both have individually earned questionable reputations in the political and finance worlds – which should raise more than a few eyebrows to say the least.on’t be as enjoyable to watch.

Let’s start with Stanley. In addition to being Bilbray’s Treasurer, he’s also a registered lobbyist for the International Union of Elevator Constructors. Seems convenient then, that Bilbray so heartily received Stanley’s endorsement in 2012, and that he’s so eager to have a friend in Congress to further his agenda.

And then there’s Kyriacopoulos. She’s a former treasurer for the DCCC, and during her time there failed to disclose $3.1 million in campaign contributions and expenditures. Additionally, after making a $10,000 donation in 2000, she failed to file the proper paperwork. The DCCC ended up having to pay an $80,000 fine. Oops?

Hiring a Washington insider and a state lobbyist to help with her Congressional bid? Looks like Bilbray’s got friends in low places.

Please consider the following statement:

NRCC Statement: “Erin Bilbray has already gone Washington and has surrounded herself with a DC insider and self-serving lobbyist. One has to wonder whose best interests are really at heart, and what other tricks her campaign has up their sleeves. Hard working Nevada families deserve a candidate whose campaign and finances aren’t backed by questionable actions and corrupt charges.” – NRCC Spokeswoman Danielle Varallo
