Rumor Mill – Is Collin Peterson On His Way Out?
Rumors about Collin Peterson’s 2014 prospects continue to circulate, this time attributed to his horrible fundraising quarter.
In this most recent quarter, Peterson failed to break $100,000, raising only $93,835. But don’t take it from us. This morning Roll Call reported:
“In June, when Republicans were pushing Peterson to retire, he told a Minnesota outlet that their efforts only encouraged him to seek re-election. His fundraising says otherwise: Incumbents who raise less than $100,000 in a quarter are rarely looking for a fight.”
“As evidenced by this disastrous quarter, Minnesota families don’t think they’re getting their money’s worth from Democrat Collin Peterson. Minnesotans are tired of Peterson’s stale ideas which do nothing to create jobs at home.
