Bill Enyart’s Sequester Merry-Go-Round
Hey there –
I wanted to make sure you saw the latest e-mail from Bill Enyart regarding President Obama’s sequester. In case you haven’t, here are a few excerpts (with explanation) to help you out.
“The sequester has been in effect for 4 months now, and its effects have already been devastating – to hardworking federal employees, our infrastructure, our military preparedness, and our schools.”
We can all agree with that – except what has Bill Enyart done to help stop these sequester effects?
Absolutely nothing.
Let’s keep going.
“Well, I think the first law we should repeal is the sequester. It’s destructive, and doesn’t solve any of the issues our country faces.”
Hmm. And what is Bill Enyart doing to help “solve any of the issues” our country is facing?
Again, absolutely nothing.
Let’s not also forget that when he had the opportunity to end the Federal Aviation Administration’s $600 million sequestration and prevent the furlough of thousands of American jobs, Enyart didn’t even cast a vote.
I guess he was too busy sponsoring legislation that designates June 6th as “National Drive-in Movie Night.”
What a joke.
