You Won’t Believe What These House Democrats Did To Avoid Discussing Benghazi

September 20, 2013

We already know that the White House and the State Department didn’t feel last year’s tragic attacks in Benghazi were important enough to merit a public memorial or recognition last week.

Apparently, some House Democrats harbor similar feelings towards the families of the victims killed in the September 11, 2012 terrorist attacks.

Congressman Darrell Issa, Chairman of the House Oversight Committee, tweeted out a photo from yesterday’s hearing on Benghazi showing that all but two of the Committee’s Democrats excused themselves from the testimony of the victim’s families.

Apparently House Democrats have decided that the testimony of Patricia Smith, who lost her son Sean Smith in Benghazi, and Charles Woods, who lost his son Tyrone Woods in the attack, just isn’t important enough to listen to.

While House Republicans continue to honor the lives of those killed in the September 11, 2013 attack and push ahead for answers and accountability in Congress, Democrats continue to desperately avoid and ignore the reality about Benghazi, going so far as to disrespect the families of the victims. Shameful.
