Will Ron Barber Join Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid At Ceremony Marking Launch Of ObamaCare?

October 1, 2013

WASHINGTON – With ObamaCare’s exchanges now upon us, Washington Democrats are taking a moment to celebrate the higher premiums, lost jobs, and shrinking wages with a ceremony on Capitol Hill.

The National Republican Congressional Committee is expecting to see Ron Barber there as well. Barber has repeatedly supported the law that is proving to be the “train wreck” Americans all knew it to be. It’s only fitting that he celebrate with Nancy Pelosi and Washington Democrats. If he and his colleagues want to see how ObamaCare is really affecting their constituents, they can visit: livingunderObamaCare.com.

“Ron Barber should take an ObamaCare victory lap with Nancy Pelosi today,” said NRCC Communications Director Andrea Bozek. “It’s not often that a lawmaker can be so out-of-touch as to support a law that’s not only harming families, but most Americans oppose.”

Nancy Pelosi Will Lead A Ceremony On Capitol Hill Marking The Opening Of ObamaCare’s Exchanges. “Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi and other high-profile Hill Democrats will mark Obamacare’s Oct. 1 launch with a Capitol Hill ceremony that afternoon.” (Jason Millman, “Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi To Mark Obamacare Launch,” Politico, 9/27/13)

Forty-Four Percent Of Americans Say The President’s Healthcare Law Is A “Bad Idea.” “Forty-four percent of respondents call the health-care law a bad idea, while 31 percent believe it’s a good idea — virtually unchanged from July’s NBC/WSJ survey. By a 45 percent to 23 percent margin, Americans say it will have a negative impact on the country’s health-care system rather than a positive one.” (Mark Murray, “Poll: Obamacare Remains Highly Unpopular As Implementation Looms,” NBC News, 9/15/13)
