Rahall Puts Obama’s Government Shutdown Ahead Of Military And Veterans…Again

October 3, 2013

Votes Against Guaranteeing Veterans’ Benefits, Funding National Guard And Reserves

Rep. Nick Rahall again voted against funding for our nation’s veterans and voted to block government funding for America’s National Guard and military reservists. This is the second time Rahall voted against funding for veterans’ programs in two days.

“Yet again, Nick Rahall is putting President Obama’s government shutdown ahead of the men and women of our nation’s military and our veterans,” said NRCC Communications Director Andrea Bozek. “Rahall should be ashamed for abandoning West Virginia’s military reservists, National Guard and veterans in his ongoing commitment to Obama’s government shutdown.”
