#FireSebelius: HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius Must Go
The American people have endured months of an ObamaCare rollout that has been nothing short of a disaster. Whether it was rising premiums, the Obama administration delaying numerous parts of the law, or a Democrat senator calling it a “train wreck,” the law has not worked the way we were promised.
The final straw of this unmitigated debacle came on October 1st, when the ObamaCare exchange site went live. Since the beginning, the site has been a fiasco. Now, over 3 weeks in, there are so signs of it letting up anytime soon. President Obama’s government takeover of healthcare has been a proven failure.
While the buck stops with President Obama, he’s not the only one at fault. Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius was charged with the law’s implementation.
Let’s take a look at her interview last night with CNN’s Sanjay Gupta. It was extremely revealing.
First, she admitted that, while she had logged on to the ObamaCare site, she had not attempted to sign up for insurance. While, yes, she techinically does have taxpayer-funded healthcare, shouldn’t she at least create a dummy account so she can experience the same tech troubles that many Americans are facing?
Next, came a surprising revelation: she said President Obama wasn’t told of the site’s numerous technical issues before it was launched. He learned about them just as the rest of the public did. She has either proved that the Obama administration is more incompetent than we ever dreamed or she is lying. No matter what – it’s unacceptable.
Lastly, she refused to resign when asked pointedly by Gupta.
It’s time for a change.
