Bilbray’s Blunder: “You Can’t Be Thrown Off Your Insurance”

November 14, 2013

bilbray ralstonDuring her interview with Jon Ralston last month, Erin Bilbray and Ralston discussed healthcare reform and what it means to Nevadans. Bilbray was asked to respond to studies which noted the rising costs of premiums attributed to ObamaCare. In an effort to defend the law she said:

“ We’re talking about there is no annual caps, you can’t be thrown off your insurance, most insurance companies were making you get a permission slip before you could go to the OBGYN, birth control is now covered.”  — Erin Bilbray, 10/23/13 [WATCH]

Interesting…

This sounds an awful lot like President Obama’s line, “if you like your healthcare plan you can keep it,” which – we have all learned to be untrue as millions of Americans are waking up to cancellation notices from their health care plans. In fact, Washington Post’s fact checker awarded Obama’s pledge FOUR Pinocchios.

“After years as a partisan activist and loyal ObamaCare foot soldier, it’s no surprise that Erin Bilbray would blindly accept the national Democrats talking points and mislead Nevadans about losing their healthcare coverage under this disastrous law.” – Alleigh Marré, NRCC Spokeswoman
