Kathleen Sebelius Just Said The “7 Million Enrollees” Goal She’s Been Touting Was Never Actually The Goal

February 26, 2014

Remember when HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius told NBC News that “success” in ObamaCare would be “at least 7 million people having signed up” by the end of March?

We do, as do the American people who have been watching the flailed rollout of this failing law. Now, it’s looking like the number of enrollees will be far lower than 7 million. But it’s no surprise, then, that Sebelius herself doesn’t seem to remember making this benchmark at all!

In an interview on Tuesday with the Huffington Post, Sebelius insisted, when asked about the lackluster enrollment numbers, that “7 million was not the administration. That was the CBO.”

Secretary Sebelius, 7 million was the Obama Administration’s goal, and it’s a number you’ve repeated time and again.

It’s time to stop dodging the truth, and instead admit what millions of Americans already know: the White House is lowering its expectations because ObamaCare is a failure.
