By now you know about how Martha Robertson may have committed federal wire fraud by sending out a bogus fundraising email on September 30, 2013. Read a summary here —> http://legalinsurrection.com/2014/03/martha-robertsons-fundraising-scandal-just-wont-go-away/

Well, it looks like she has done it again. In a fundraising email sent at 11:19 a.m. today (email below signature line) Robertson’s campaign claims that Congressman Tom Reed is a “NO vote for any sort of jobs plan at all.”

What Martha doesn’t tell you is that Democrats have been peddling that bogus claim for a while and it has recently been rated “PANTS ON FIRE” by Politifact: http://www.politifact.com/rhode-island/statements/2014/feb/16/jonathan-boucher/top-rhode-island-democrat-says-republicans-us-hous/

That article cites several jobs bills passed by House Republicans in both the 112th Congress and the 113th Congress. And guess who voted YES on those jobs bills? Congressman Tom Reed. Let’s also not forget the JOBS Act of 2012 which was signed into law. Guess who voted YES on that? Congressman Tom Reed.

NRCC Comment: “This is the second time in six months that Martha Robertson’s campaign has sent out a fraudulent email to raise money. If Robertson can’t send emails without lying to her supporters, maybe she should just stop sending emails altogether.” – NRCC Spokesman Ian Prior
