Liberal Labor Union Rips White House Over Political Keystone Pipeline Delay

April 21, 2014

The Obama administration has yet again delayed the Keystone XL Pipeline decision. Republicans are not the only ones getting mad about it, either.

With thousands of jobs and American energy independence at stake, even liberal labor unions (normally the Democrats’ biggest allies) are starting to turn on the President.

The Laborers’ International Union of North America (LIUNA) criticized the President and the delay in a Friday press release, stating “It’s not the oil that’s dirty, it’s the politics.”

“Once again, the Administration is making a political calculation instead of doing what is right for the country,” LIUNA said. “This certainly is no example of profiles in courage.”

We agree. President Obama has proven himself willing to place the American economy, and thousands of jobs, on hold in order to satisfy his far left liberal base. In this economy, we need nothing more than to stop the dirty politics. It’s time to approve the Keystone XL Pipeline.

UPDATE: Another labor union, the North American Building Trades Unions, released a statement today criticizing the President’s decision as “a cold, hard slap in the face for hard working Americans who are literally waiting for President Obama’s approval and the tens of thousands of jobs it will generate.”

Stand with House Republicans as we continue to fight President Obama to approve the Keystone Pipeline:
