Sean Eldridge not living in NY-19

NY-18

Sean Eldridge has a locked campaign office in the 19th District of New York.

Eldridge bought a $2 million palace in Shokan to establish “residency” in the 19th District of New York.

Eldridge even moved the office of his Hudson River Ventures Super PAC to the 19th District of New York.

But it looks like Eldridge forgot to move himself to the 19th District of New York.

As the Washington Free Beacon Reported, Eldridge’s husband made a donation to North Carolina Senator Kay Hagan and listed the couple’s $5 million NY-18 home as their residence. As you may recall, this was the home that Eldridge bought to establish residency in NY-18 in time for the 2012 election. Of course, Eldridge ultimately didn’t run in 2012 because he was constitutionally ineligible for Congress at that time.

It looks like another tone deaf move from an arrogant candidate whose campaign is flailing.

NRCC Comment: “Sean Eldridge is so arrogant and convinced of his scheme to buy a Congressional election that he is not even trying to hide the fact that he isn’t living in the 19th District of New York. Maybe Eldridge thinks his $2 million NY-19 mansion isn’t as comfortable as his $5 million NY-18 mansion, but Eldridge’s open contempt for the place he supposedly wants to represent is appalling.” – NRCC Spokesman Ian Prior
