Nick Rahall’s Biggest Ally Declares War on West Virginia
On May 1st the NRCC released a memo detailing the anti-coal billionaires bankrolling House Majority PAC’s ads in WV-03 on behalf of Nick Rahall. Check it out here.
Well, today House Majority PAC, which has spent almost $1 million backing Rahall’s re-election campaign, has openly declared itself on the side of Barack Obama and the EPA in the War on Coal.
Here is HMP’s tweet asking people to sign a petition and “STAND WITH PRESIDENT OBAMA ON CUTTING CARBON EMISSIONS FROM OUR NATION’S POWER PLANTS BY 30%.” The petition can be found here.
So now that Rahall’s biggest backer has publicly admitted that it is against everything West Virginia stands for, will Rahall FINALLY publicly demand that House Majority PAC no longer involve itself in his race? Or will he stand by and reap the financial windfall he earned by his repeated votes to limit carbon emissions and kill coal.
