Don’t Tell the Griswolds: Steven Horsford Must Not Enjoy Family Vacations

Horsford Votes Against Helping to Lower Gasoline Prices for Families

WASHINGTON – Today, just a week before Americans celebrate Independence Day, Steven Horsford voted against energy independence and relieving the pain at the pump for millions of families across the country.

Yet again, Steven Horsford has walked in lockstep with President Obama and his anti- energy agenda. Unfortunately for Nevada families, they will have to find ways to budget their expenses in order to afford the high cost of gasoline during the Nation’s busiest driving season.

“Instead of helping families at the pump, Steven Horsford fell in line with his Washington allies and supported the Administration’s failed energy agenda in hopes of boosting political support this election cycle,” said NRCC Communications Director Andrea Bozek. “Nevada taxpayers deserve a Republican leader in Congress who will help lower gas prices and make it easier for them to take their families on a well-earned vacation.”

The Lowering Gasoline Prices to Fuel an America That Works Act will help ease the pain at the pump by expanding production of America’s own energy resources.
