Eligibility Verification For ObamaCare? Rick Nolan Says “Who Cares?”

New Government Report Shows Government Didn’t Even Bother Verifying Income As Required By Law

WASHINGTON – Yesterday, the HHS Inspector General issued a report stating the government “didn’t follow its own procedures for verifying eligibility” for ObamaCare subsidies. At every turn, the Obama Administration has flouted the law to prop up its disastrous legislation. Whether it’s the numerous mandate delays or yesterday’s latest report, it seems ObamaCare was written in pencil.

What’s most galling is last year Rick Nolan voted against requiring the Obama Administration to verify income eligibility—the very thing the government admitted it didn’t do. Nolan’s reckless vote contributed to the very situation the American people find themselves in today. Nolan should apologize for his shameful vote and call on Health and Human Services to begin verifying incomes for ObamaCare eligibility today.

“Last year, Rick Nolan and his Washington cronies voted against this common sense bill requiring the government to ensure you’re even eligible for ObamaCare subsides,” said NRCC Communications Director Andrea Bozek. “Sure enough, this new report shows that Nolan’s friends in the Obama Administration haven’t even been following the law they passed.”
