Speaker Boehner: The House Will Always Support Israel’s Right To Defend Itself

Yesterday, Speaker Boehner reminded the American people that the House of Representative will support Israel as a “strong partner and a trusted ally” as the conflict in Gaza continues.

Boehner attributed the conflict to be a direct result of Iran’s sponsorship of terrorism in the region. “That is why the House will always support Israel’s right to defend itself,” he said.

The speaker referenced the United States long standing relationship with Israel as a strong ally in the Middle East.

 “America must send this clear, public, and united message: Israel is our friend, and Israel’s enemies are our enemies,” he said. “And as long as I am Speaker of the House, I give you my word this will be our cause.”
