Will Brad Ashford Call on Obama to Support the Keystone Pipeline?

WASHINGTON – President Obama wasted no time making it clear that he is not interested in working with Congress and will veto the Keystone XL pipeline. The President continues to ignore the fact that the pipeline would create jobs, put America further on the road to energy independence, and that a majority of Americans support it. Clearly President Obama would rather bow to his liberal backers than do what is in the best interests of the country.

To make matters worse, Brad Ashford’s silence on Obama’s veto threat is deafening. Will Brad Ashford stand up for the American people and call on Obama to support the Keystone pipeline? Or will Ashford side with President Obama and hurt Nebraska families?

“Brad Ashford needs to show the American people he is working for them, not President Obama,” said NRCC Spokeswoman Katie Prill. “When will Ashford stop playing political games and urge President Obama to work with both sides of the aisle and support this legislation?”
