Back to the Future IV Starring Annette Taddeo

back to the future

Voters in southern Florida may be familiar with the name Annette Taddeo – she’s a perennial candidate for elected office who will run for any elected position.  As reported by The Hill, Taddeo was recently spotted in Washington soliciting support from House Democrats for a run in Florida’s 26th Congressional District.  It looks like it is back to the future for Annette as she mulls taking another shot at running for Congress, which she first ran for in 2008.

Below is a snapshot of a perennial losing candidate who will run for anything and everything.

2014

Taddeo loses Florida Lieutenant Governor.  In the process, she fails to rally her home base.

“(Taddeo) failed to do the one thing a lieutenant governor pick is supposed to do — enhance the ticket in her own district. Win her own district. OK, the Republicans didn’t win Miami-Dade County, Crist and Taddeo did. But, ‘… She was supposed to boost Crist in South Florida. That simply did not happen as Democratic turnout simply sputtered in Miami and Broward County. Despite having been the boss of Miami-Dade Democrats, Taddeo failed in her own backyard. Crist made a miscalculation in adding her to the ticket’.” –Sunshine State News

2010

Taddeo loses Miami-Dade County Commission race.

“She ran for county commission in District 8 and lost in the primary, coming in third — third — behind former Homestead Mayor Lynda Bell and former Palmetto Bay Mayor Eugene Flinn.” –Sunshine State News

2008

Taddeo loses United States House of Representatives race.

“She ran for Congress in 2008 against U.S. Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen and lost….Taddeo managed to get 41 percent in a good year for Democrats. Barack Obama pulled 51 percent in that district in the same election.” –Sunshine State News

NRCC Comment:  “Annette Taddeo’s track record of running for a multitude of different offices demonstrates that she is motivated solely by her blind political ambition.  Luckily for voters, Annette Taddeo hasn’t been capable of winning an election, which is good news for everyone who thinks Nancy Pelosi doesn’t need another rubber stamp in Washington.” -NRCC Spokesman Chris Pack
