Will Patrick Murphy Ever Take A Position On A Budget?

February 2, 2015

4 trillionAs you’ve probably heard, President Obama announced his latest budget proposal today.  In typical Obama fashion, it raises government spending to $4 trillion, complete with a $474 billion deficit and $320 billion tax hike. And it never balances….ever.

Are you waiting for Patrick Murphy to come out with a position of his own?  Don’t hold your breath, since Murphy seems more worried about plotting out his own political future than he is about weighing in on federal spending priorities that affect South Florida families.

Since being elected to Congress, Patrick Murphy has never voted for any of the six different traditional budgets considered by the House of Representatives.  This should be alarming to his constituents, since the primary responsibility of the United States Congress is to set spending levels.

NRCC Comment:  “Patrick Murphy needs to stand up to Barack Obama’s reckless $4 trillion spending proposal that further bankrupts our country while also raising taxes on South Florida families. Patrick Murphy’s constituents simply can’t afford more silence from their representative who keeps demonstrating that he’s more concerned with raising campaign cash than he is with representing his constituents.” –NRCC Spokesman Chris Pack
