NRCC Releases Paid Web Ad Targeting Five Vulnerable Democrats on the 5th Anniversary of Obamacare

March 23, 2015

Today, on the fifth anniversary of Obamacare, the National Republican Congressional Committee is launching a paid web ad targeting the five most vulnerable Democrats on the failed health care law that has helped retire many of their former House members.

With American families and small businesses suffering under the weight of the disastrous law, voters have turned what was once a Democrat majority in the House into the largest Republican House majority since 1928. The ad highlights the oppressive nature of Obamacare, the Congressional Democrats that fell as a result, and ends with an ominous prediction of defeat for the following Democrats – Patrick Murphy, Collin Peterson, Ann Kirkpatrick, Brad Ashford, and Gwen Graham.

“While Nancy Pelosi celebrates the fifth anniversary of Obamacare, middle class families and small businesses continue to struggle under the law which has caused many of Pelosi’s House Democrats to pay the price,” said NRCC Communications Director Katie Martin. “Already deep in the political wilderness, continuing to push Obamacare on hard working middle class families will only force more House Democrats to the exits in 2016.”

The Script for the ad is below:

ANNOUNCER: For them, it’s a celebration

Obamacare is turning 5.

But after half a decade pushing higher premiums, more regulations, and big cuts to Medicare…

…The party’s over for House Democrats.

A political disaster that keeps getting worse:

Pelosi left powerless, wandering the wilderness for years to come.

But worse? What Obamacare’s done to families…seniors…small businesses.

And while Pelosi still celebrates…

…Her lieutenants have paid the ultimate price.

Who will be next?
