Ruben Kihuen is district hopping

March 28, 2015

In a blast from the past, state Sen. Ruben Kihuen announced he will continue his unending bid for higher office by running in Nevada’s 4th Congressional District in 2016. In 2012, Kihuen ran for Congress in the 1st Congressional District, but had to drop out because he was badly outmatched by Dina Titus.

Problematically, Kihuen still lives in the First Congressional District, despite his intentions to run in the Fourth District.

Kihuen couldn’t get elected in the district where he lives, so now he is shamelessly running in the 4th District in hopes of finally making it to Congress.

NRCC Comment: “Ruben Kihuen has decided he wants to run for Congress again, even after being embarrassingly muscled out of the race during his 2012 bid. Kihuen couldn’t get elected by his own neighbors, so now’s he is shamelessly trying to get elected in a district where he doesn’t even live.” – NRCC Spokesman Zach Hunter
