Annie Kuster Votes To Fire Herself

April 16, 2015

kusterYesterday, Annie Kuster voted to fire herself.  She did so by voting in favor of H.R. 1563, the Federal Employee Tax Accountability Act, which makes individuals with a “seriously delinquent tax debt” ineligible to remain, or to become, federal employees.

You would think someone like Kuster, who has been delinquent on over $40,000 in taxes since 2010, would have voted against firing those collecting a federal paycheck.  Did Annie not connect the dots that, given her less-than-stellar tax-paying  record, she would be firing herself from her $174,000 per year job?

Oh Annie, you truly are the gift that keeps on giving.

NRCC Comment:  “We congratulate Annie Kuster on voting to fire herself instead of having to defend her atrocious voting record on the campaign trail.  Kuster must realize that her re-election chances are in serious jeopardy thanks to her refusal to fight for lower taxes and affordable utilities, and that simply voting to fire herself makes more sense.” –NRCC Spokesman Chris Pack
