Annette Taddeo brags on Twitter about lavish fundraising event

June 8, 2015

taddeoOver the weekend, Annette Taddeo sent out a tweet bragging that the DCCC Chairman will come to town to “rake in campaign cash” for her latest political campaign.  The tweet links to a Miami Herald story highlighting the pricy nature of the event, which costs anywhere from $500 to $5,400 per person.

You would think that a candidate like Taddeo, who lives in a 6,500 square foot mansion and reports her net worth at $5.7 million dollars, would try harder to come off as an everyday person instead of bragging about high-end fundraisers to her Twitter followers.  (It’s probably the same reason why she lied on national television back in April about being middle class.)  What better way to show you’re in touch with the middle class than by bragging about your high end fundraiser with a DC insider to a bunch of Twitter followers who most likely cannot afford to attend?

NRCC Comment:  “Multimillionaire Annette Taddeo is so out-of-touch with South Florida’s middle class that she doesn’t realize it’s impolite to brag about a lavish fundraiser to folks who most likely can’t afford to attend.  With boneheaded moves like this, it’s no wonder that Annette Taddeo has never won an election.” –NRCC Spokesman Chris Pack
