Scott Peters: 1 GITMO vote for each of the Taliban 5

Last night, Scott Peters took his 4^th and 5^th votes to allow known terrorists to be transferred from GITMO onto US soil – one vote for each of the Taliban 5 that were previously housed at the facility Peters so desperately wants to close. One of these votes would even allow terrorists to go back to their country of origin, drastically increasing the likelihood they return to the battlefield.

The Taliban 5 have since been transferred from GITMO and, according to an Obama Administration official, are likely to return to the battlefield to lead the fight against America.

Scott Peters clearly learned nothing from the President’s blunder and seems hell-bent on continuing Obama’s failed foreign policy, first by bringing terrorists onto American soil no matter the risks.

With 40,000 members of the armed services in his district, Peters’ votes are blindingly out of touch with the sacrifices so many of his constituents make on a daily basis. Maybe that’s why Peters has already mislead on the GITMO issue before.
