Pelosi finds her yes man in Salud Carbajal

August 24, 2015

Forget letting the voters decide: today House Democratic Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi formally endorsed Salud Carbajal in the CA-24 Democrat primary. Never mind that the race has just begun, Pelosi is more concerned with handpicking a candidate who will be a reliable “yes” vote for her in Washington.

Instead of letting the primary play out, Pelosi was willing to cast aside all other contenders, including Santa Barbara Mayor Helene Schneider, in order to ensure her loyal foot soldier makes it into the general election.

Has anyone asked Schneider how she feels about the first female Speaker of the House passing over the only female candidate in the race this early?

“Nancy Pelosi doesn’t care about pesky little things like voters, she’s backing Salud Carbajal because she knows he will be a reliable supporter of her far-left agenda in Congress. By skipping over other candidates, including the only woman in the race, Pelosi has made it clear that she cares only that Carbajal will be little more than her partisan yes man if he makes it to Washington.” – NRCC Spokesman Zach Hunter
