Did tax delinquent Melissa Gilbert hold her first MI-08 fundraiser…in California?

If you were tax delinquent Melissa Gilbert, who only recently moved to Michigan before announcing a campaign for Congress in MI-08, where would you host your first fundraiser?
Most people would probably choose a residence or local small business in the district.
But as you can see, Melissa Gilbert is not like most people, and it looks like she chose sunny California instead of any place in Michigan.
According to a post on Facebook, one of Gilbert’s Hollywood friends back in California attended what she described as the “first official fundraising party for…Melissa Gilbert for Congress!”
We did a little more digging, and another one of her Hollywood friends even took a picture of the fancy embroidered “Melissa Gilbert for Congress” napkins.
Sure seems like it was fun time out in California, but it makes this e-mail with all of this talk about neighbors “here” in Michigan and working class talk seem like a bunch of baloney, don’t you think?
