Politically calculatin’ Steve Santarsiero: By the numbers

September 22, 2015

cowardly santarsieroAfter Kathleen Kane was brought up on criminal charges back on August 6, it took Steve Santarsiero six (6) days to use Kane’s indiscretions to play politics in his run for Congress against Shaughnessy Naughton.  But when it came to Santarsiero actually standing up for his constituents in the state house by calling for Kane’s resignation, it took 46 days.

Was this just another political calculation by Santarsiero, or does he suddenly care about getting a disgraced attorney general out of office?  If it’s the latter, then why doesn’t he use his position as a state representative to start impeachment proceedings against Kane?  Does he need another 46 days to build up the courage or is he just full of hot air again?

NRCC Comment:  “If Steve Santarsiero really means it when he says Kathleen Kane needs to leave office, then he should start the impeachment proceedings against her in the state house.  Unfortunately, since Santarsiero has already demonstrated that he’s the cowardly lion of Southeast Pennsylvania, his constituents shouldn’t hold their breath on him actually demonstrating that type of leadership.” –NRCC Spokesman Chris Pack
