Is Steve Santarsiero dropping out of the PA-08 race?

Is Steve Santarsiero looking to end his campaign for Congress in PA-08?  According to his latest FEC filing (line 19c), Santarsiero recently paid himself back the $40,000 he loaned his campaign.  Why would he do that if he wasn’t looking to call it quits?

Combine that with the story from over the summer that the DCCC was trying to force Santarsiero out of the race and suddenly it starts making sense.  Maybe Santarsiero now realizes that voting in favor of the Tom Wolf budget to raise his constituents’ income taxes by 16 percent has made him unelectable.
