Will Gwen Graham snub Tyndall Air Force Base?

October 22, 2015

Tyndall signThere are 3,256 military personnel on Tyndall Air Force Base who need the bipartisan National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) to be signed into law in order to continue receiving their paychecks.  Unfortunately, President Obama is set to veto the bill this afternoon even though it passed the House and Senate with bipartisan support over a larger issue that has nothing to do with the actual NDAA.

Why won’t Gwen Graham be more vocal about the importance of signing the NDAA into law?  Does she really think it is enough to just press a button to vote yes and then call it a day?  The 3,256 people on the Tyndall Air force base deserve a representative who is infuriated with Barack Obama’s political posturing and will publicly call him out for holding the paychecks of Tyndall Air Force Base personnel hostage as part of his political games.

So where does that leave Graham?  Her silence is deafening.

NRCC Comment:  “Gwen Graham needs to publicly call on President Obama to stand down on his veto threat to a bill that has been signed into law for over 50 years in a row before it’s too late. The last thing the military personnel on Tyndall Air Force Base and their families should be worried about is whether or not their Commander in Chief is playing politics with their livelihood.” –NRCC Spokesman Chris Pack
