Do Charlie Crist and Eric Lynn Agree with Hillary Clinton about VA Scandal Not Being a Widespread Problem?

October 26, 2015

Now that Hillary Clinton has come out and expressed her opinion that the scandal at the Department of Veteran Affairs is not as “widespread” as the media portrays it to be, what do Charlie Crist and Eric Lynn think?  Do they agree with Clinton that the VA scandal is just a sensationalized project of the media and Republicans?

“Hillary Clinton’s comments that she does not believe the VA scandal to be a widespread problem is a slap in the face to our brave veterans,” stated NRCC Communications Director Katie Martin.  “While we have come to expect out-of-touch comments like this from Hillary Clinton, what do Eric Lynn and Charlie Crist think? Do they agree with Hillary Clinton that the VA scandal is a farce?”

Clinton made her comments on Friday while appearing on The Rachel Maddow Show on MSNBC.  Clinton blamed Republicans and the media for making the VA scandal part of a political agenda and argued that the scandal was not as “widespread” as it has appeared to be.

According to a recent report from the Department of Veteran Affairs inspector general’s office, veterans have been forced to wait up to nearly four months for an initial consultation with a VA doctor.  The report also found that thousands of veterans were kept off official VA wait lists as part of a potential cover-up of the gross VA mismanagement.

There are 49,785 civilian veterans residing in Florida’s 13th Congressional District.
