Did Steve Israel do it again or did Steve Israel do it again?

December 11, 2015

don larsenEvery so often, a baseball pitcher comes along who is completely in the zone.  Throwing heat. Strike after strike after strike.  Working his craft.  Steve Israel is that pitcher.  He’s Don Larsen of the New York Yankees when he pitched a perfect game against the Brooklyn Dodgers in Game 5 of the 1956 World Series.

Oh, except we aren’t talking about the World Series.  We are talking about being the least effective member of Congress from New York State.  Steve Israel is once again shutting out all other members in New York’s Congressional delegation when it comes to the top spot in terms of ineffectiveness.  Israel’s “effectiveness score” is a whopping 1%, which is based on the amount of bills he has had passed out of committee since being elected to Congress in 2001.

(Slow clap.)

NRCC Comment: “The NRCC once again congratulates Steve Israel for being designated at the least effective member of Congress in New York State.  Israel shouldn’t be too surprised for being deemed so ineffective when you consider he votes with Nancy Pelosi a whopping 97.3 percent of the time.” –NRCC Spokesman Chris Pack
