Ami Bera Continues to Force Obamacare on California Families

January 7, 2016

Today, the House voted on the passage of the Restoring Americans’ Healthcare Freedom Reconciliation Act, which would repeal provisions of Obamacare and its crushing taxes. Despite widespread disapproval of the law, Congressman Ami Bera once again voted to force Obamacare and its devastating taxes on the American people.

The Restoring Americans’ Healthcare Freedom Reconciliation Act works to repeal portions of Obamacare such as the individual and employer mandates. The bill also eliminates suffocating taxes imposed on the American people through Obamacare including the medical device tax, the “Cadillac” tax, the net investment tax, and the additional Medicare tax.

“It’s time Ami Bera stopped worrying about protecting President Obama’s legacy and put health care decisions back into the hands of Californians and their doctors,” said NRCC Communications Director Katie Martin. “In November, voters will hold Ami Bera and House Democrats accountable for continuing to support the President’s failed health care law and ignoring what’s right for American families.”
