Bob Dold Dominating Fundraising Race In IL-10

February 1, 2016

cashWhen it comes to fundraising, Bob Dold is dominating both Democratic candidates in the IL-10 congressional race. Dold’s war chest of nearly $1.5 million significantly outpaces both former Rep. Bard Schneider’s $882,363 and Highland Park mayor Nancy Rotering’s $936,131. On top of their cash flow issues, Schneider and Rotering are waging a bloody primary battle that will leave the eventual winner broke and bloodied going into the general election.

Also worth noting, $100,000 of Rotering’s $265,000 raised this quarter comes from a personal loan to her campaign. Rotering’s pro-nuclear Iran stance may be doing wonders for funding Hamas and Hezzbollah, but it isn’t exactly raking in cash for her disastrous campaign.

NRCC Comment: “The bloody Democratic primary in IL-10 has slowed fundraising for Brad Schneider and Nancy Rotering, giving Bob Dold a significant lead in stockpiling resources for the general election. Whichever Democrat limps out of the primary will be bloodied, broke, and facing an uphill climb in the expensive Chicago media market for the general election.” – NRCC Spokesman Zach Hunter
