House Democrats panic after Clinton is nearly upset in Iowa

February 2, 2016

In the wake of the virtual tie between their preferred candidate (and FBI target) Hillary Clinton and socialist Senator Bernie Sanders, House Democrats are already downplaying Sanders’ unexpectedly strong showing in the Iowa Caucus.

Sanders’ performance in Iowa is the latest blow to the Clinton campaign, after revelations just days ago that her private server contained nearly two dozen emails classified as “Top Secret” that were deemed too damaging to national security to release. More bad news appears to be on the horizon, as Real Clear Politics currently shows Sanders with an 18 point lead in New Hampshire.

NRCC Statement: “House Democrats are in a state of disbelief and panic after socialist Senator Bernie Sanders’ unexpectedly strong showing in Iowa against their preferred candidate, scandal-plagued Hillary Clinton. The fact that they have already begun to downplay the results in Iowa just hours after the caucuses ended shows just how desperate House Democrats are to distance themselves from Sanders’ extreme leftist agenda.” – Bob Salera, NRCC Spokesman
