Salud Carbajal Is Bad With Money

February 22, 2016

In the race for California’s 24th Congressional District, Salud Carbajal has the dubious distinction of leading the race not with support from voters, but with “credit card debt and history of foreclosure notices and federal tax liens” according to a new report. From the story:

Carbajal and his wife previously had three federal tax liens filed against them, as well as two notices of default on their home. The unpaid tax balances on the three liens totaled nearly $11,000.

Carbajal’s liabilities include between $35,001 and $80,000 of credit debt, as of last spring.

Clearly, Salud Carbajal is bad with money. Unfortunately, members of Congress, the job Carbajal wants, hold the power of the purse and are responsible for managing not just a family’s finances, but those of the entire nation. If Carbajal has botched his own finances this badly, imagine what he’d do to our country’s.

NRCC Comment: “Salud Carbajal has shown over and over again that he is unable to manage his personal finances. With the national debt skyrocketing over $19 trillion dollars, how can 24th District families expect Carbajal to balance Washington’s budget when he can’t even balance his own?” – NRCC Spokesman Zach Hunter
