Does Ruiz still think Iran Deal supports America’s best interests?

March 10, 2016

Flag_of_Iran_(official).svgRaul Ruiz should be really proud of himself. In a stunning display of mockery this week, Iran fired two missiles designed to hit our ally, Israel. This is just a few short months after President Obama’s Iran nuclear deal was signed with Raul Ruiz’s full support.

Even more shocking, the missiles were inscribed with the phrase “Israel must be wiped out” and fired while Vice President Joe Biden was visiting Jerusalem.

Remember – Ruiz supported this dangerous deal and said “this agreement is the most effective realistic diplomatic option to prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon, and therefore, in the best interest of our nation and allies.

Um. OK. So…the best interest of America is Iran firing missiles emblazoned with a call to destroy our ally while the Vice President is visiting said ally. Is this the “diplomatic option” Ruiz thinks voters in his district support?

NRCC Comment: “Raul Ruiz said the Iran Deal is in our allies’ best interests, but does he still believe this after the terrorist sponsoring state mockingly fired missiles emblazoned with the phrase ‘Israel must be wiped out’? Clearly, the dangerous Obama-Ruiz deal puts our national security and our allies at risk. Simply put: It’s not in our best interests.” – NRCC Spokesman Camille Gallo
