Today, the DCCC named six more future failed candidates to its “Emerging Races” list as part of its hilariously inept Red to Blue program.

A brief recap of the past two cycles of the Red to Blue program’s history of incompetence:

  • In 2012, the DCCC’s Red to Blue and “Emerging” candidates had a combined record of 7-23, with multiple candidates even losing their primaries to candidates who would go on to lose in the general election.
  • In their disastrous 2014 cycle, the DCCC waited to unveil its first round of Red to Blue and “Emerging” candidates until March. Those candidates had a combined record of 4-36, including a hilarious 0-12 among “Emerging” candidates.
  • This year’s listof candidates includes failed Red to Blue alumni Michael Eggman and Emily Cain, as well as 2014 losers Brad Schneider, Pete Gallego, and Carol Shea-Porter.

NRCC Comment: “The DCCC has been scrambling to fill in the many glaring holes in their disastrous 2016 candidate recruitment, and this latest list of weak candidates shows just how badly that effort is going. By placing these candidates in its “Emerging Races” program, which had a 0% win rate last cycle, the DCCC is tipping their hand as to which races it expects to lose in November.” – NRCC Spokesman Bob Salera
