Did Steve Santarsiero illegally coordinate in PA-08?

April 19, 2016

It seems Steve Santarsiero and American Working Families PAC have put out identical ads defending Steve and his “proven record”. They are so similar they even make the same points, in the same exact order, which is a real feat considering a campaign and PAC are not supposed to coordinate. Wasn’t illegal coordination the very same attack Steve went after Dem opponent Shaughnessy Naughton for just last week?

To make matters worse, Steve once again lied about his record, with both ads (Steve’s ad and the IDENTICAL PAC ad) stating Santarsiero “wrote the new ethics rule” citing HB 2546-2013, but Steve’s name is not listed on the bill. The fact that this error was included in both Santarsierio’s own ad and his Super PAC’s ad raises clear questions of whether coordination occurred.

So let’s recap good ol’ Steve’s campaign so far…

Keep it up Steve!

NRCC Comment: “Not only does it appear that Steve Santarsiero is illegally coordinating with American Working Families PAC, but both ads lie in an attempt to hide Santarsiero’s scarce list of actual accomplishments in Harrisburg.  Steve Santarsiero is a do-nothing politician who has never had a bill signed into law in his 7-plus year career.” –NRCC Spokesman Chris Pack
