Friday News Dump: Rick Nolan Votes To Raise His Own Pay

With all the challenges facing 8^th District families, we all know Rick Nolan would never be so brazen as to vote himself a pay raise, right? Wrong.

In a Friday afternoon news dump, Nolan inexplicably voted to increase his own pay. With folks all across the 8^th District struggling, why would Nolan be willing to thumb his nose at the hardworking families that haven’t gotten a raise in years? Or even worse, the folks who have been laid off and don’t know how they will make ends meet this month?

Surely Nolan wasn’t watching the clock and betting that nobody would notice – or care – on a Friday afternoon, right?
