Rick Nolan: “This time of year everything is election related”

August 8, 2016

Nolan miningTo Rick Nolan, “This time of year everything is election related,” and that includes endangering the livelihoods of Iron Range families. Nolan is of course referring to the DFL’s decision to table a vehemently anti-mining resolution until AFTER the election in hopes of saving his job.

Local me
dia outlets have already outlined the danger the DFL’s extreme resolution poses to Nolan’s candidacy with headlines like, “DFL may put Rick Nolan’s re-election at risk with anti-mining resolution.” Now, instead of reversing course and abandoning their anti-mining stance, Rick Nolan and the DFL are cynically delaying the resolution until after the election while asking for votes from the very people their resolution would put out of work.

NRCC Comment: “Rick Nolan’s cynical ploy to delay the DFL’s anti-mining resolution until after the election is politics at its worst. Nolan and the DFL will spend the entire campaign season asking for votes from the very people their resolution would put out of work.” – NRCC Spokesman Zach Hunter
