August 16, 2016

ohalleranDid you see that thanks to Obamacare, a law Democrat Tom O’Halleran supports, another insurer was forced to pull out of the Arizona health insurance marketplace? That means thousands of Arizona families will lose their current health insurance coverage. Additionally, “in some areas of Arizona, there is no insurer slated to offer ObamaCare coverage next year, which would be an unprecedented situation curtailing access to the health care law’s benefits.”

The Wall Street Journal reports that: “Aetna’s move will sharpen concerns about competitive options in the exchanges—and it puts at least one county, Pinal in Arizona, at risk of having no insurers offering exchange plans in 2017, a circumstance that would present a major challenge to the basic mechanics of the ACA.”

As 1st District families are dealing with the grim new reality that affordable health insurance might be out of reach thanks to Obamacare, O’Halleran will be forced to answer for his reckless support of this failing law.

NRCC Comment: “It is shameful that Tom O’Halleran stands by a failing law that has forced thousands of Arizona families off their insurance plans and could leave many without any access to health insurance. Instead of fighting for 1st District families, O’Halleran is determined to stand with the Washington Democrats supporting his political ambitions, no matter who pays the price.” – NRCC Spokesman Zach Hunter
