Raul Ruiz Donor Sentenced To Prison For Election Fraud

Yesterday, Raul Ruiz donor Babulal Bera was sentenced to prison for felony election fraud. Babulal, father of Congressman Ami Bera, received a sentence of 1 year and 1 day for his part in a crime that involved more than 90 straw donors and funneled nearly $270,000 to his son’s campaign.

According to FEC documents, the
now convicted Babulal Bera donated $7,700 to Raul Ruiz’ congressional campaign.
